Brothers and Sisters,

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

In Hebrews 10:23-25 (NASB), the author knew that his readers faced the temptation of abandoning their faith and commitment to Christ for the sake of living a more comfortable life. This meant avoiding persecution among other things. We have this saying in our culture, "Misery loves company." While the Christian life is not "misery," it is joy, hardship, victory, and striving, and God wants us to share these experiences together, encouraging one another day after day, until the final day. How can you share life more with other believers this week?

Here are the announcements this week:

UniteNOW: Prayer
This Sunday, hundreds of Christians from across campus will join together for a night of prayer for our campus and community. Join GCL and other Christian groups as we help kick off this semester UniteNOW events with prayer at the Reitz Union Lawn from 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. on September  26th.

Committed to a Home Group?
Since we like to know as a church, how many people are committed to home groups, you can help us by creating an account at gatorchristianlife.com. Part of this process involves choosing which home group you attend. Please gatorchristianlife.com and register/login to update your home group information.

Have a great week!
