Dear GCL Friends,
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday. Here's a quick tip for avoiding long lines on Black Friday: stay home and study the Bible with your family! FYI: I will not send the GCL News email/Facebook message next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Operation Christmas Child
Shoe boxes will be collected at Sunday Service on November 22nd. For more information, talk to your life group leader, see Jennifer Jeske at the Ministry Board after service or go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org.
Unite NOW
November 22: Unite NOW: Worship from 7:00-10:00 P.M. at the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. This will be the culmination of the 24/7 prayer with Christians from across campus uniting in one voice for a night of amazing, God-glorifying worship and prayer.
Southeast Regional Summer Project: LINC
This summer GCL will join churches throughout the Southeast for a summer project in Columbia, SC. This will be a faith-stretching summer, giving you opportunities to make an eternal impact in the lives of others while you grow as a disciple and in your discipleship skills. “Why the Universe is the Way it Is”
Dr. Hugh Ross will be speaking on the topic of “Why the Universe is the Way it Is” at the Phillips Center for Performing Arts tonight at 8:30-10:30 pm. Tomorrow (Friday) he will be meeting with the Christian Faculty Fellowship at 12:50 at the CSC and in the evening he will speak at Trinity Methodist Church (53rd Avenue NW) at 7:30 on “The Origin of Soulish Animals.” The objective is to present the abundance of scientific evidence supporting Biblical creation which will help remove the doubts of skeptics and strengthen the faith of believers.
